nice song, nice voice.. but things like
"yeah, yeah, yeah" dont sound good if the music
from the piano is this quiet.. try to improve the mix..
the music is much too quiet..
anyways.. good job!

Ok, the recording here is a bit of an issue as JohnnyM says, but it's not such a big deal really. I guess it was a single mic and done in one take - but then you say it is a raw recording, so there's nothing new here.
In terms of the song itself - I like it.
The piano is well played, vocals sung well too.
It would be improved, I think, with the addition of other instrumental sounds and vocal harmonies, and perhaps an instrumental break in there too
But I like the actual song.

Hey guys, I appreciate the feedback and would like to reply to all those who would like a "clean" recording of my songs. Let's just say I haven't got the time or equipment (yet) to make one. So for now, it's just one mic stuff I'm afraid. But you can always vote on the song itself if you like
John Darnielle would be proud. This is a fine song.
Great song very melodic and great words. Honest your vocals need a little work. But it takes nothing away from a song well written.

NewIndieKid, I'd like some more detail please...
What is it that you noticed about the singing ?
Do you refer to pronouciation or tonal issues ?
Every hint is welcome and you don't have to be afraid of stepping on my toes.
Hit me, I can take it
I'd like to improve if possible and an honest external ear is a good place to start.
