In collaboration with: Marino

This song is not in a battle

This is my version of Marinos 'Changes', actually only the first few bars! With vocals!
It's all cut and pasted and shuffled around! And most of the tracks are going through GuitarRig2.
It may sound like it goes on a bit sometimes but that's because it's made of loops and was initially meant as a place to put the vocal idea.
I took what I worked out to be a loop of Marinos guitar and first played with it in ReCycle and WaveLab to get the length and time right, I then listened to Cubase!
The second half of the vocal is a variation of the first!
And the last few bars is the guitar track put through the vocal effects track, just to see!
It's not finished, in that this is the first draft and if I get some creative comments they will be taken on board!
I REALLY want to know what you think!

Cheers Flyer!
Marino : I heard on the grape vine that you were darn good at your drum programing? hint! hint!
Ultimately I'd love to do this as a complete official song, mind blowing guitar, re-written lyrics, re-recorded vocals, bass, drums, the works.....could it be?

Yea Flyer I love my Aaa Yeahs too! lol
It's just the feeling I get kicking off on a damn good piece of guitar work! The difficulty is not sounding completely 'cheesy' and keeping 'some' artistic credibility for it. lol

Ahh yeah
Marino plays some great stuff, and this is no exception! Kings: great artistic flare, your vocals are so tightly controlled and precise, yet sound so free ranged and loose. Great stuff, didn't bore me at all, the balance between vocals and guitar was captivating.

Yes, drums would add another level to it, I can't wait to see what happens to this with a rework.

Well done, both of ya's. Loved seeing how kings took this and ran.

What i'd love to hear here, add M's lady to the vocals with kings, she sounds so awesome on his other songs, I could just picture the two voices together would be quite mind blowing.

Cheers

Duet already suggested by writtersBlock, on the other hand two is better than one if you know what I mean.

Go Go Go!
We'll have to get together some time and throw some ideas into the pot!!!
You know what this sounds like (you've been here enough times lol) and you know what you can do, get some of Lisa's ideas down and I can re-sing the vocal.
And we's is goin' dude!

Hey !Yo!
Thatīs a REAL 70īs acoustic-psycedelic-feel to me  Love this groove , itīs almost funky.
The vox-recording is  done a little bit īsloppy`, so itīs clipping in the speakers
In whole this song works fine and is transporting a nice mood & feeling
