Forgive Me

This song is not in a battle

I had fun playing this one. I had weird volume issues with my voice recording and I"m not sure why. Heavily inspired by a local band called the Toadies (they may have been famous at around '96 or so, but I'm not certain)

I will meet you there
In the stormy air
Some December where
You remind me where
I’m insomniac
I’ll be sure to nap
Where me going today
I’ll meet you down the way

I hope you forgive me
For leaving you
I hope you receive me
We’ll remember those days
I hope you forgive me
For leaving you
But I don’t think I want to know you anymore

Pull back your hair
Think I’ll find you there inside
Be real cavalier
But it doesn’t make me any near
Deceive my mind again
You’re my carcinogen
I’ll be sure to knock
When you leave the dock again
I hope you forgive me
For leaving you
I hope you receive me
I’ll remember those days
I hope you forgive me
For leaving you
But I don’t think I want to know you anymore

It’s ten ‘oclock
You were waiting at the dock
Hoped you’d find me there
You decided what to wear
Ships are pulling in
Can’t believe just what you’re in
Hoped you’d find me there
But instead you found air

I hope you forgive me
For leaving you
I hope you receive me
I’ll remember those days
I hope you forgive me
For leaving you
But I don’t think I want to know you anymore

Theo cool stuff
You definitely have your own style.
This one has lots of potential the only thing i would work on is on the amount of sounds in the chorus and a bit more of mixing. There's also a drop on the bass in 2 07 right before the change is kinda empty also towards the end.(?)Can you fix that, it just drops out.Its great song! I reafirm my opinion about your music writting skills .You can defenently go out there !

this rocks. very professional. got a cool vibe. The only tip i feel i could give is to raise your singing an octave higher in one part of the song (close to the end), i think this would sound very emotive.

Lol, thats already pretty much at the top of my range, but I will try to add harmonies.

Marino, I didn't beleive you until I looked at the mixer and realized that there was indeed nothing there. I'll put some bass there.

Vox
Your vox seem to be left of pan, perhaps you have different settings on each channel, I think if you can bring the vox to the center, the Cox will be louder. It certainly has originality, which I like, hope you sort out the volume in the vox.

Unfortunatley tuning was definatley my biggest problem. I simply sat down and recorded the guitar without tuning it, and discovered just how badly it was off when I inserted the bass
