Daybreak (Slide Guitar) |
Hi guys! It's been a long time since I last posted here. I hope all is well with you.
I had spent some time working on a song that started out as "15 to 5" (which I had posted here) now turned into "Daybreak". It has a slide guitar but it isn't a traditional blues song, and I referenced Rodrigo y Gabriela's tracks quite a bit for this.
I posted it here because it's not music video, and I'm not really looking for a review focused on the video.
I'm quite happy with its current state but I feel that I there is more that I can do, composition/arrangement wise. I feel that an element is missing, like a melody or some vocals (and adapting the arrangement to fit it).

I hope you'll like it!

Well worked arrangement - you have developed a good technique.
You need to work on your dynamics with this kind of style.
For most of the song you were between 90/100% of your volume. Play around with dynamics so that you know where you are try 25% 50% and 75%. then when you master that you can work on 10% increments.
I think this song should be played at around 50% for most of it peaking at 80%.
I hope this helps
