LIKE A CANDLE OVER MIDNIGHT SEA
January 1996

On the shoreline of your smile                 D    F#    Em7
I don't ever get your tune            D    Bm    G
it's my time to say goodbye            D    F#    Em7
it's your time to fire my blues            D    Bm    G
and that's all it's my game                     D        A
what you're playing with me            G        D
take a chance dim your lamp babe        D        A
like a candle over midnight sea                 G        D

In the darkness of the night
I can get sensations fixed
face to face on every call
while being flying on wings of speed
and that’s all it’s your fault babe
I don’t want your bitter tea
take a chance dim your lamp babe
like a candle over midnight sea

Start is incredible.  I love the mellow solo over the chord progression.  The voice is haunting.

Sounds like Pearl Jam from Lost Dogs and Binaural.  This is a very, very good thing.

The rhythm guitar in some places sounds flat.

I also love how you give the chords.

This is great. The vocals are hard to understand without reading along but that adds to the coolness of it.  I really like the intro. Top stuff, Thanks, good listening.

Nice Feel
Nice sound on the acoustic guitar. I too found it hard to make out the lyrics, but having said that there are a few famous artists who at first are hard to make out the words too.

Guitar work is excellent - very atmospheric playing, and really well recorded.

The vocals work, but the language difference is obvious and (IMO) does detract from the otherwise very good vocal delivery.  Is there an Italian version - I wonder if it would make a difference to the vocal "flow".

Good song though - I liked it.
