This song is not in a battle

Hey, it is what it is. Another archive song from Once a Traitor band practice. I wrote the song, sang lead and play acoustic. We had the song down until the guy who produced our demo had us change up the beat. After that we never quite figured it out. hmmm. Anyway, here are some lyrics:

Sunday’s Soul

If I’m still half awake when the warning comes
Will blood on my fingers pass me the blame again?
And if I only fall for the moment
Will my blasphemies linger and give me away?

Now with the breath I take for a purpose
I exhale for passion traded for apathy
Was this transaction made with a soul to pay?
And is it my purity tied to the stake?

Bridge:
But you come, you come into my world
As I lose, I lose, I’m losing my hold
Tell you placed the dust and spit on my eyes
Though I did not know that I had gone blind

Chorus
I’m searching for Sunday’s soul
And I know that it’s bigger than what I’ve seen….I know
I’m searching for Sunday’s soul
And I know that it’s more than what I’ve settled for

I have my pretense honed to a holy edge
With three clever comebacks to topple the hesitant
But with my defense down in the afterglow
I weep as the song I sing leaves me exposed

Bridge 2
Tell You come, You come, You come into my world
As I lose, I lose, I’m losing my hold
But You breathe the breath of life into life
When the lights go out and the music dies

Break
If Sunday’s dead then hope is dead again
Is Sunday dead? Is Sunday dead?

So is this the version with the changed beat or not? I like the drum track and your all quite together!
Find the leady guitar plinking its way behind the chorus sounds like it is played by less experience than the rest of the music.
Never the less a really nice song. Cheers.
