Shred is not dead!
This is all my tricks rolled into one big bag thats 3:00 minutes long. Its not my best work by far but is isnt bad. A few mistakes are in there. Ofcourse at the time I didnt hear them. Sorry for no drums but I was in the mood to record and our drummer was at work.
Here is the equipment used on this one....
Marshall MG100w head and 4x12 mg cab
Boss MT-2, Crybaby and Vox volume pedal
Ibanez RG-750 with an actuall floyd rose
Cool edit pro was used to record through our drummers mixer and straight into the cpu.
ENJOY!!!

this got a bad, because i felt it did nothing but show a guy trying to hit notes as fast as possible with little regard for the chord progression in the song, which was also mediocre.
I recommend that you use your shred ability, which is quite existent, rarely, and that you try to focus on bringing out an emotion instead of trying to see how fast you can play.
These are my thoughts, and i feel they are good ones.

Well as I said I know there are mees ups. It was basically an attempt to do what you guys said, play fast as I can. There are some very horrible messups and out of time on there. If you listen to some of my other stuff you can clearly tell I know what notes to hit and how to make something sound good. I was just haveing a shred day at band and wanted to have some fun.
Interesting stuff, great to hear some shred, but the problem with fast technical playing is that without finesse, structure, timing, chordal and melodic awareness, and variety it just sounds messy. I'm sorry but this just screams to me 'please throw me out of the music store'. I can play fast - but personally I'd rather play something coherent at half the speed. The rhythm also failed to present a rigid backdrop for you to connect the lead with.
Ooh, but I did really like the chaotic finger tapping bit I heard somewhere. Tasty.
And I bet you had fun recording that didnt you? Oh yes. *grabs his electric for some floyd rose action*
*salute*
