This is VincentL's instrumental... with my touch...

I hope he likes it....  it's not an instrumental anymore... it was begging for vocals....

      So, I did it...

Ok, relaxed jazz, I'm reminded of the song on Finding Nemo 'Somewhere Beyond the Sea' I think it's called. Great harmony between the guitar/voice. Question: Is this Vincent's guitar playing with Jimk's vocals, or was it Jimk interpereting it all? Either way, I enjoy the dynamic feel to the playing. Great collab!
Also, I couldn't hear anything after 2:50. Was the extra silence just that, or was it cut short?

Cheers!

Thanks...  It is VincentL's guitar playing....  and it does end at 2:50ish..  the silence is just that.. silence...  I have done that before, something I like..  a small moment of silence for just relaxation and thinking...  when listening to a song, in the amp, the song will start right over again... so it's hard to think about it... If your listening to a list of songs, like in a playlist..  Then the next one starts before you had time to reflect on what you heard... so a small moment of silence is nice every now and then....

yes... definately a nice effort at making something more out of this instrumental.

All it needs is a warm jazzy club-production value to it, instead of the obvious cold digital mp3-ishness of it

but then, that has something too.

It's really relaxing.

Did you actually take some time to write these lyrics or did you just improvise them? They sound improvised (in a good way that is, like a successful jam)

nice!

THanks!!  Yeah, it's all just improvised over the jam...  I just hit record, and started crooning...  no thought.. no ideas, I wanted it to be fresh, and real.... I really loved his jam on this....

I really like the feeling you brought to the song
I think the crooner vocal was exactly what it needed
I hope you enjoy doing it as much as I enjoy the result!
thanks and well done Jim you're the MAN!!!

I might rework the structure of the song so it will fit having vocal on it a bit better Hearing your crooning Jim on it showed me the way forward for that track
