*shivers at the first line*-that was your voice! I like that off beat high note, it brings out the song well, also, thats a nice, chord progression there... the way you play it makes it all sound simple, great to see the song moves with the words, when I read the lyrics in the forum I said to myself 'If he puts in a nicely moving and simple sounding chord progression to accompany these words, it'll sound great!' (I didn't really, but that's what I thought of when hearing this). Anyway, *wink*

*cry*

strings arrangement
I was thinking putting some strings on this track
Anybody know the easiest way to do that?

What did you record this on?

I'd just get a microphone and a violin and play some strings ontop.
If you're going to use synth then it'd probably be best if you done it real-time.

I really like this, sounds like there's background sounds in there?
Composition is tight and distinct and the vocals sound good.
Gives the sound of "this is what you get" guitar and vocals. I hope you perform because stuff like this is very easy to listen to :P.

I haven't played a gig for a while but I'm sort of planning to play in pub again the thing is that I'd like to find some one to do it with because it's much easier to play as a duet
I'm still looking for the right person though
As for recording the violin myself I'm afraid the result would be terrible! The only violin I've got access to is my son half violin and I'm rubbish at it I was more looking for some software of some kind

It's nice.
Good vocals though a bit dry, a reverb is needed.
Are you sure you want string on the back? I mean wouldn't it spoil the warmth of the piece? mostly if they are midi.
How about an air guitar or sommit like that...?

Yes a very touching song indeed, well played and well sung, despite the cold, it can be heard once you mention it!
