Heyheyhey! There it is, there it is!

This is a very interesting twist in your style JBP, leaning strongly towards the slightly grungified wave/rock sound I am so fond of, personally (that's what I tried to emphasize with that bass line).. I love that drive, the angst, and the JBP-ness of it all, eventually still it fits right into your repertoire, and Thank You for letting me be a part of it!

What an excellent song, thank you.
Just excellent!
It needs a good drummer on it before the world may hear it I'd say.

Thank you all for comments so far!
I was thinking I might try and explain what I meant as I usually don't mean a lot in my songs.
The symbolic idea I was trying to get across is that the boat stands for music and the creation of it by the musician, the person in the boat is a musician.

It's a song about our ever-present drive for fullfilment, be it creating music (which for most people feels like they're in a different world, away from the daily grind) or any other form of creation. The horizon is, in fact, home = fullfilment or, say, the feeling of joy once you know you have done what you have been wanting to do/accomplish.
Each of us is in some way aiming for that horizon, isn't it true? And we all row some kind of boats to get there. Along the way, we pass the boats that have recked, or we hear of boats that have perished. And along the way, we sometimes feel we don't belong to where we are everyday, be it our job, relationship, or anything else. We feel our skin being tight on us and we'd like toshed it, but we're afraid of changes. Anyway, I hope you understand. I have been explaining to much, I guess. Thanks for listening.

In case you don't follow my imperfect singing, here are the lyrics:

I'm like a newborn rowing out into sea of life
Bare-footed true hope (that) I'll find whatever seems worthwhile

Recklessness hiding on board of thousands perished boats
Home's up the horizon - of that I'll sing a mournful note

How come I'm in this boat!?
The skin that's on me is tight!
And how come the boat I row is full of holes inside!?

This song really rocks, its not so much groovy as it is driving (which is not my personal taste, but it definatley sounds very professional)

The chord choices are very nice, the hooks are spot on, vocals nice...

very professional, good job.

wow..
Much different than your usual indeed.....

This is very marketable I think....   It is in the style that I am hearing on the radio of late..

I think you may have something here...   Although, you'll need to fire that Bass player

hahahahaa...     Couldn't help it PX, ya know I love ya...  Anyway...  Seriously, it is very good, and I really do think this is something worth pushing to some commercial labels...

Wonderful job. Congrats to you both.

JBP - This might be my favorite of yours. I'd encourage you to explore more in this style.

Nice work on drums. It's hard to get them sounding perfect.

Mix is great.

Nothing more to say, except keep them coming!

I think this is the best song I've heard here
This is in my opinion is probaobly the best or one of the best songs I've heard on Bandamp. This should top the list in the house mix. The mix is good, the music is excellent, the vocals are great,  Gets top vote.
