Breathe in Deeply

This song is not in a battle

Ok, I've sort of forgotten how to play this. It's in a tuning I can't quite remember. But I found it and thought I'd put it up here as I haven't posted anything in ages.

I wrote it when I first got my present guitar. So a year and a half ago? It's a pretty emotional song.

VERSE 1

Air blows through doorways,
Shadows swimming in your eyes.
Fingerprints line the windows,
A small demise.

CHORUS

Warning all the pretty faces,
Warning all the simple minds.
You were so high when you crashed down,
It was so fast when you hit the ground.

I know, because you fell on me.

VERSE 2

Whispers breathe in deeply,
Eyelash fall upon the floor.
Blinks all sink into the teardrops,
And you miss it even more.

CHORUS

Warning all who point the finger,
Warning all who have done wrong.
You were so high when you crashed down,
It was so fast when you hit the ground.

I know, because you fell on me.

I like it...
I really like your music,  If i could afford it, I'd fly to new zealand just to jam with you, and maybe check out the country side, heh heh...... it reminds me a little of John Lennon, one of my heroes, you are added to my fave list, good job thanks for posting this as I'm new to the amp and might have missed out if you didn't,    hp13

Yes you are a song writer and a musician and you can sing!!
A very beautiful song, a bit rough in places, recording and guitar, but I couldn't do it like you do so 'hats off'.

It's real good as other songs I've heard from you.
Maybe this's one I like best, it's "feely".
There's a noise, some clipping or something.
Yeah the guitar's recording's a bit rough, but apart from that, excellent.
I do like simple songs, though I complicate myself in my own ones

The acoustic sounds cool, I love the dynamics, and the vocals work well into them, a style that fits well. You know how to write a great song! Much better than the stuff on the radio,    love your music, always a pleasure to listen in, but there's never anything to criticise about it!

Nicely done Chester.
I really enjoy your lyrics. You have a gift in writing lyrics. They make me think and ponder the meaning. I love how the song ends! Great chord choice. Anyway man, hope you are well and writing more? Have a great day!......peace....jgv
