The Jazz Attempt

Battle: 2005-06

This is a song I wrote about a year ago, and I've recorded it quite a few times. As you can probably guess from the title it was an attempt to do a jazz song, but I made a guitar duett ballad instead. :-)Despite the little timing error [2:01] this is my favourite recording: you can really sense the emotion on this one compared to my other recordings of the same song. At the very end I also do the high pentatonic a couple of times.. it's supposed to be one time but I just couldn't resist! :-D   I hope you enjoy this one!

I love the reverb! :-D

It's like 'The soundtrack for your dream'

Perhaps I'll do a shredder next! ;-)

Thanks for nice feedback.

All I can say is this..............REVERB!!!!!!!!!!!!
But its a good recording. Like everything you do. You are the man of multiple styles. I never know what type of song you will do next. I guess heavy metal is the only one you havent touched. (hint)

You are a mind boggling musician, Sindre. This is quite good, the reverb does get in the way at times, but it has a kind of cool effect at times, too.

I quite like the reverb on the lead guitar line, but not for the strumming rhythm part. Reminds me of the old surf guitar sounds (minus the tape echo).

The twang and reverb on your lead makes me feel like this came out of Kill Bill or something.    Not too shabby - keep it real man!

You should play this in some dark cafe in Twin Peaks. Reverb can be a major part of your sound. I'd like to hear more definition with the timing, though. Not talking 'bout any mistakes, just the flow in generally.

Cool jam dude, shame about the ugly spring-esque reverb. The 'amount' of reverb is fine, and I think it really gets the idea you wanted - its just the type of reverb which hampers it. Those reflections are way too prominent.

I really like the melody and the guitar work is chilled as f**k and well-played. I really think with an alternatively thought-out production job this would be even better.
