Shaking the mouse trap
*
recorded by The Twaxes - Jack Cat (guitar vocals) Django (guitar) Nina (cello)

Jokin’  with the rainbow - in the seventh moon nite
jokin’  with sunglasses – to hide flash of dark sweet eyes
joking with words – fired through the air
exchanging crazy shelters – to protect each one’s lies
show me the street  - show me the street of the humble
make me blonde or black – just take me out of this jungle
‘cause I’m born again  - (this) is not my face (this) is not me
this will be my curse – in the seventh’s (STOP) nite dream

The wonderful chick - took the weird man’s gush
out a kinky dead track – playin’  three fingers stuff
he managed wild courses – building up hot lips
charming satisfaction – down a dark ugly street
she dropped worried glances – over rusty goods wagons
the weird man went crazy – as a jammed weapon
‘twas an embassy kiss  - ‘twas a reckless drive
‘twas the damned curse – of the seventh (STOP) damned nite

You can play 1, 2, 3 - but 4 is too much
walkin’ round the corner - of your soul’s sweet touch
you can ask more and more – you can fly on my roof
even if I’m burnin’ hot – I’m not foolin’ you
organizing funny slams – turn out confused and stuck
babe it’s hard it’s hard  to accept – being neglected  and outcast
three skylarks moanin’ – in leathered leaden sky
It’s the awful damned sunrise – of the seventh damned nite

Nice guitar work
Nice voice
Nice lyrics, odd but good
One shouldn't compare, but I hear a likeness to Dire Straits and God Dylan,
That's not a comment, I like the passion.

Your accent is right with this song

I can picture this song being played in a small club with people leisurely drinking booze and smoking cigarettes, talking to one another and looking at the stage at musicians - there's this excellent mood in that song !
Well done - recording is fab.
Rated this one.

This is a very great tune - the atmosphere of the instruments, the vocals, just great. Yeah, like kings said - a bit of a mixture of mr Dylan (desire album) and mr Knopfler (solo work), plus many of those folk singers who come and go, but really stay lingering in the back of the brain until the end of eternity.

well done, well done!
