Just Like You
It was nice working with you..J

"Just Like You"

Verse 1

The miles go by
with a blink of an eye
maybe I should have taken a flight
all this driving
should ease my mind
and give me time to think about the
letter my son wrote
the letter he wrote to me

Chorus

Daddy are you comming to see me
I'm doing well in school
and I'm playing for a  baseball
team
Daddy

Verse 2

he called me on the phone
to say
remember our rides
I sat on your lap
to drive
and you turned on the radio songs
although we tried his momma and
I didn't get along

Chorus

Daddy are you comming to see me
I've out grown all the marks on the
wall
Daddy are you comming to see me

Instrumental

Verse 3

as he was falling asleep on my
arm
I told him I love him and I miss him
he said
Daddy I want to grow up and be
just like you

just like you

hey guys!
Man this sounds really cool!!!!

Awesome collaboration.....  Love the feel of the lyrics....

The guitar tone is perfect for the mood...  The bass really sets this for me though.....

             nice....

nice collaboration guys...this one had me tearing up for sure...nice to hear you singing to some guitar for a change Ralph!  I was expecting some searing guitar solo to break out at any moment...but I can see that this song doesn't really call for that (but when has that ever stopped you Basketcase    ? )

hmm..
couple of years ago i remember saying that I like listening to all kind of music - all but country.
well, then i saw this awesome film about the great man in black, and this blew my mind. After that I've been more open to this kind of stuff also.
And though this song is very, and i mean VERY!, happy and stuff, it still has this wistful feeling in it. And so, I must say you two have made a nice song,
and I applaude.

About the mix, there is couple of things that bother:
first, the vox are a bit too loud, and would sound better dry (without the chorus-fx), and second, you should re-arrange this by adding an acoustic gtr to control the backing.

Well thanks, about the mix...yeah I need an acoustic for sure, as far as the vox go..I really like what Ralph has done .(lyrics/vox) so I doubled the vocal track which I guess maybe wasn't a good idea..Thanks again and I'm anticipating to hear  more Caughtumn!

very good
nice songs  has a good feel to it. I like the vocal lines in this one. I think I would have doubled the guitar, and if you double the vox, maybe back the volume down on one of the channels  to use it more as fill effect.

again very good.
