Straight up country, for a friend of mine who was a bronco champ... Turns out he didn't like the song, thought it was tongue in cheek!!! Is there any other way to write a country song??? Did it on my 8 track at home, played all the parts and sang all the parts. Kept me off the streets for a few hours anyway...

I don't get it, are you actually looking for comment on this song?
To put it plainly, that was f***ing excellent matey.
I'm so NOT Country but I'd ware a cowboy hat, do a barn bop (or what ever) and even go 'Hip Hoi' all night long if this is a taste of your music.
Comment: Really love the 'Don't want to go back...' bit at the end,
It is, I believe, called 'Hooky'. Is it not?

hey this is not bad for country, I really hate country but for some reason I listened to this song all the way through, I think its the mixture of pop and hick....

Great!! my only criticism would be about the drums... is that sampled or a drum machine? there are some quite realistic drum samples on the net for free...
but other than that... well, it's country music and I listened all the way. That's all I have to say

P.S: great pick Jim!!! hahaha

This song is awsome, good work.
This is a fun song to listen to... Great production & guitar riffs, topped off by a good old country hook. And, unlike all the mainstream country I get second-hand exposed to here in rural America, it doesn't make me roll my eyes and want to gag when I hear the lyrics. (ie - it's not about young love, soldiers going off to war, or a pissed off woman leaving her abusive man).
I've always thought that one of the biggest (albeit backward) compliments a song-writer can get is the "Genre X isn't my cup of tea, but I really like this song." You've gotten a lot of that here already, but I'll still add my backward compliment:
"You know, country isn't (ain't?) really my cup of tea, but I really liked this song."
Thanks for posting.
