It’s in the battle 2006-11

Its about life. Its about love. Its about you, me and them. Is what you believe just an Illusion?

Ooooh, I see some seriouse possibiiltys for this track. Some strings in there. Deep bass strings of some sort and some eq work and this could be an awesome track.
Try playing it on an electric guitar wuth a nice clean sound to it(something warm, deep and consistant) and keep the chord seguence the same but don't just play the chords, feel the music and see what comes out of those notes and chords.
That's what I'd do anyway.
Good luck,
KI

beautiful, i like the mood in the verses and the chorus is lovely.  i think the mix should be improved a bit. i totally agree with moses i.e. to keep the chord sequence same. just be in the mood of the song in the bridge, play around and you will be amazed.

once again this is a wonderful song with a lot to it, some more accompaniment will do wonders.

agreed with the fish man,

you have a good voice, just a little bit out of tune here and there. I bet if you took more time to get your songs down, you'd be able to get it all tightened up.

okay.. well, good luck!

you've got the groove on
You've got my vote for songwriter's draft.
You belt it out well enough.
Would like hear an arrangement with more than a single guitar strumming.

Cool feel. Good emotional delivery. You d'mann.

Hmm.
Yes, this song could really use some strings and stuff.
I'm not to fond of the vocals either, needs some practise, I'm sad to say.
Has a little Neil Young feel...

This song was a bit of a disaster because it's obviously lyrically driven and I couldn't understand a single word you said besides "I woke up on a desert island" and "the sun...it was going down".

Suggestions: record the guitar and voice seperately.

One more word:
tamborine

guitar is good. You shouldnt sing while youre playing.

Pastures of the Mind
I woke up on a desert island
 the sun was going down
there was a boat tied to a palm tree
 near and phony looking clown
I stood up and called shotgun
But he said take it if you dare
 I didn't dare but I knew it wasn't right
I laughed at him said that not fair
he said whats fair or foul is an illusion
and illusions change from time to time

 I wasn't sure 'bout what he'd said
but I sat down in the back
the clown yelled and got back out again
 mumbling something about a tack
so we sped off across the water
I though we should be home by three
The clown I never saw again
but i never took his cherished seat
I guess his wise words were an illusion
and illusions dissapear from time to time

When I finally got to town
I ran into the garbage man
he said the worlds more full of sorrow
 that you could ever understand
I told him well that fine
but could you tell me where I am
He he pulled a rabbit from his hat
said he learned it in back in Nam
guess that apperance is as an illusion
and illusions aren't always as they seem

Well i met some girl at the top of a hill
she said she'd gladly die for her beliefs
I said but the honor is to live for them
while the world attacks without relief
She said i think i see what you're saying
and then bent down to kiss my feet
She said its getting late so lets go home
So we went walking up the street
Just because you believe in an illusion
doesn't mean that it believes in you

Well I left there in the morning
i still wondered where I was
Policeman asked me why i went that way
And i answered just because
When I finally got where I was going
I sat down and wrote this song
I was an eagle scout and everything
