It’s in the battle 2006-11

This is Basketcase's Where did you go...

I did vocals on it, and changed the melody to help make it more personal for me as well...

I also lost my father at a very young age.. and was not able to be there, not able to say goodbye... So I was left with alot of unanswered questions... So this song really spoke to me, and helped me as well...

So thank you Jason, for that.....

wow
I am going to critique this from a non-biased approach...  Not as your husband, who loves you, and helped mix this.. but as a non-biased observer...

Of Course as I stated on Basketcase's original version, I love this song... it is a fantastic vulnerable emotional song...

That being said, the Vocals, I have to say, you put some real emotion in it as well, from the beginning, you start shaky, like a lost little girl.. who can't come to grips with the loss of her daddy..  doesn't know where to turn... what to do... then as the song progresses, your vocals calm, and smooth out... showing that you are moving on, and coming to a closure.... then the final goodbye at the end, you are more confident, and self assured...  Fantastic vocal expression...

Now back to loving husband mode...

          I love it!   Wow....

it's very well done... I'm well impressed.

I can't add anything to what JimK in unbiased mode said; the emotions and thoughts behind the music, the lyrics and the vocals are very real. I think it's a wonderful tribute to lost loved ones... well done...

wow, I heard the preliminar version of BasketCase and his ask for help. I think the collab with you (Linda) is a great way to share the same feeling about the lost.

One year ago I lost my cousin, he was our little brother, he didn't get the 20 years.

Now with this song i can feel the same emotion for those no-answer questions.

I must say the song is beautiful: the lyrics, the melody, Linda's voice, etc. But the most important to me is the way to say good bye to our lovely people.

thanks Jason, and Thank you Linda.

oh my..
What a beautiful voice... I must say the melody is different, and I feel like it is more personal to you..
I can feel the pain in the music, as much as the vocals.. The music is good, if maybe a bit too much chorus.. but it works well to fit the mood...

this is very nice.  It is real and emotional.

I enjoyed the guitar very much, and you can sing very well. I think you need to open up a bit more, it sounds like you are holding back, and I can tell if you open up, you will really blow us away. You have a lovely voice.
