This song is not in a battle

Well guys, I really need to learn how to master audio.
Anyone want to give me a few pointers?
I know a little about EQ'ing, but nothing about compression, etc..
Here's another 15 minute song.
let me know what you think.

Again, good idea here.  One thing I would consider exploring is different rhythm patterns on the guitar, because at the minute its a little bit basic (all down strokes, or down up down up etc...I can't really tell).  For examples turn to some of AC/DC's stuff maybe, as they have some interesting rhythm figures.  Throwing that in you can keep the same chord progression, but really change the way a song feels in different sections.

Im not saying dont use your current style - im just saying vary it a bit to create different effects.

IMO you have to unsharpen the bass drum. This is what makes the record sound ploppy.
Maybe another bass drum could help.

re: Final Straw
sounds like production being done in one pass .....................

jbp is the master but briefly.................

take each track ................ normalize it .......... then compress it then go bak 2 the desk and remix

repeat as required............. try the first 2 steps first
