Very cool....
And though I have never read the book, I feel the story by listening to this... The Despair, the Tortured Love...  All the while an underlying happiness and tranquility... hmm..  Very nice...  If I am wrong let me know... but this is what I get from it!

You are
absolutely right. It's kind of torturing love story... 8-)

Beautiful piece. I actually have read the book- required reading for my French A-Level many moons ago. Can't remember much about it unfortunately so cannot comment on how well this reflects the story (I'm almost tempted to read it again though, just to see )

The music itself is lovely- some nice guitar sounds which complement each other well and are mixed, to my ears, superbly.

I wish it was a little longer and developed into something fuller but, c'est la vie!

Very nice. Bravo!

And, er... encore!

well at 0:50 this started to sound Mike Oldfield like - which is just brilliant IMO.

very well done... superb track... just not right down to that 100% professional production quality. I never read the book. I did do french though, for a few years. I was good at it too, but I forgot most of it I'm afraid.

I thought of Mike Oldfield and I agree with PX
The only thing is that I wouldn't fade out at the end. It definately needs a great ending

I'm gonna agree with Triton - I've never been a fan of fade outs...find something epic (easier said than done I know).

I like what you've done with the various guitar effects though, good job.  Balancing is nearly perfect too.  I like it.
