This song is not in a battle

well...here's another one of my latest recordings...still in it's early stages...vox are for guide only...nothing is eq'd except the drums (which are awesome btw!) Let me know what you think!

Lyrics:

Is there something that you believe in?
Does it handle your situation?
And we all have got to find some peace of mind.
And we all have got to find some peace of mind.

Chorus
Why wait for something
You can fall back on?
Why stay when there’s a perfectly good road
That you can travel down?
When deep inside you know

That you’re the one who’s in control
You’re the one in control
You’re the one in control

Verse 2
Can you answer every tough question?
Or do you spin out in all directions?
And we all have got to find our way around.
And we all have got to find our way around.

Repeat Chorus

Verse 3
What do you see looking back from your mirror?
Do you find a friend, a trusted counsellor?
And we all have got to find a voice that we can trust.
And we all have got to find a voice that we can trust.

Even though I wasn't alive in the sixties.......your voice is taking me there right now.....Yes the drums are quite awesome...Are you a fan of Jefferson Airplane by chance?

Ps Love the control parts

hehehe, yeah, the 60s sound kinda thing once again becomes apparent.

I like the rough mix.. true your voice should be more to the front, I do like them dry like this though.

drums are indeed awesome - the best thing about the mix. anyway it's surely a nice listening experience. Hearing some Dalbello likeness in your voice btw...

Yeah. I liked this one.....Before I read any of the comments, I said to myself: "Damn, she sounds a little like Grace Slick on this one!" (to me, that's a complement). The vocals are so good, I feel it deserves a more prominent place in the mix (with a little reverb....). I also agree the drummer is quite good!

excellent tune spoon.

being critical on the mix here... I'd either raise the volume on the vox, or lower the volume on the acoustic guitar. eh, I'd rather hear the vox louder.

got a vote.

Hmmm, don't know about the 60s. Born, ooo, about 29 years too late.
Like the tune though. Not one of my favs from you, but you should take that s a compliment.

Just bring the vocals up a bit - don't change the singing though cos it's got tons of passion in it, and sounds great!

Yup the drums are very good indeed (cymbals a bit loud a couple of times though )

I like the bass tone - the bass line could just be varied a little more I think to make it more interesting.  Perhaps just jump an octave every now and then.

Nice simple guitar work - it works well to keep the song driving forwards

This is a pretty damn good recording Spoony - the mix can be played a little, but there's not too much that can be done to improve the actual "song"
Construction is nice - again it's simple, but it works well.

I do like your voice - make it LOUDER!!!

Good song all round really

Whats left to say?

Reiterate: Vox too soft, cymbals too loud at points. This is all i noticed

Great tune, I was tapping my mouse the whole way through.
