I didn't plan on posting this before because I wasn't very happy with it, but this is a song made on the same day as "american" using the same instrumentation.

I used a distortion pedal plus a midi keyboard for the guitar and a bass amp with filters on the keyboard for bass. Drums were synthesized.Made in FL studio 6

not too bad..i think you seem to be holding back on the vocals a lil...the music isnt bad at all...nice mix...the sound is good...nice guitar

The instruments are recorded well in terms of balance etc, but the whole thing is just not pieced together particularly well.
There seem to be a fair number of timing issues in there - the bass loop and the drum loop are out of sync.
I agree with Ralph about your vocals - holding back.
This has a lot of potential as a song - but it needs to be tidied up I think.
