This song is not in a battle

This has been floating around my computer for a while now.
I did the music ages ago, and just did the vocals last week.
Its a bit different to all the other stuff I've done, quite chilled out.
I thought of the lyrics when I was despairing at work. Ha.

Lyrics:

Give me a drummer,
Some live guitars.
Give me a summer,
Underneath the stars.
Give me a mentor,
A set of rules.
I'll break them all,
If you just give me the tools,
I may be green,
At seventeen,
I may not be,
A pretty thing,
But I got soul.
Yeh...

I never thought,
I'd want or need,
A man in a suit to tell me,
If I'm one of a kind,
But here I am,
And there you are,
You have,
Three minutes and seven seconds
To make up your mind.

And I wont,
Cave in.
I wont,
Give in.
I can take,
Your shit.
So come on,
And pull me appart.
And I wont,
Cave in,
I wont,
Give in,
I can take,
Your shit,
So come on,
And out with it.

I got soul
I got soul.

Definitely different from your other songs, Although it isn't my style of preferred music I am always impressed with the quality of your work i wish i had your recording ability. My work always sounds either hollow and/or rushed .you know what they say, patience is a virtue and unfortunately not one of mine (lol). keep up the good work .

wow I love the way it starts, that rhythm / bass combination is haunting, and when the vox set in there's a chill type of jungle in there - - - - great instrumentation yeah, well chosen, very ... warm and close, all these low-mid frequencies, rounded sounds.

I see dark and warm colours, red and blue pulsing in the background, a bright green and yellow swirling upfront....

vocal effects are absolutely great - they are truly amazing, how they pan, filter and echo, and the background voice is superb too - what effect settings did you use for this? maybe you can help WillyDavidK out with his FL studio tutorials

You dont need a drummer, you dont need a summer even a mentor.

All you need is a big applause from your audience. I will be the loudest one.

You've got the soul
