Magnetic Storm

This is all synth, no guitars here. The idea for this song came to me long time ago, maybe like 7 or 8 years, but I never really went back to it until now. There are no drum loops or any other loops or arpeggiators in use here, everything was played manually and recorded into the sequencer. It could be called just the "Storm", but since one of the lead voices is called "Magnetic Fields", I named it this way... 8-).

If you're interested, here is the story that the song is supposed to tell:

You can feel the water in the air, tiny drops begin to fall and it feels almost like nothing will come out of it... sun is shining. Then, there is a brief breeze and the rain develops a little bit more. It keeps on getting stronger and you can hear the drops bouncing off the ground and windows... sun is still shining. Then, there is a thunder and the rain gets very heavy, but not in a mean way. The rainbow comes out, it's quite beautiful. There is another thunder, the rain almost stops, the wind picks up the speed and brings in clouds very fast, there is no more sun and the rain starts to develop again, but this time it's much faster. The heavy storm comes in quickly tearing down everything, the wind is very powerful... then everything stops and ends almost as quickly and peacefully as it began.

Very interesting story......

I find it fits this well....  I can actually see a fast paced CG Animation short playing in my head...  this is a fantastic soundtrack for such anime....

I really like it, it also has a nice feel to it, for driving down road, with the windows open.. and cruisin....

Not much bad to be said... great soundscape...

Not sure what to think...

I really like the song, well structured, well played, nice harmonies (it's quite nice to hear that you played'em all)

It's the choice of sounds that doesn't convince me... they sound a bit thin to me.  But hey, that's only my opinion.

Keep working!

I liked this.

Listened to the whole thing without getting bored. (which is great)

yeh... maybe a few sounds are a bit thing. Also, I didn't like the ending. How it slowed down. And also, I would have liked to hear the last note ring out.

Otherwise... good changes in feel throughout the song. It fits the title well.

This is a very nicely composed, played, recorded, and mixed piece of music.
It paints a good picture - I liked your explanation, the music fits the description pretty damn well

Lovely stuff - I love the change at 2:49, very cool!

I liked the ending also - the synth sounds following the last drops of rain.

Excellent stuff -

Intelligent techno. Great description.

Melikes and downloads and rates it too...

Typical style reminds me of the C64 remixes I enjoy listening to... Though I personally prefer more darkness and angst in any techno, but that's personal.

Anyway bring more of the good stuff, it really well done!

excellent. Going to have to download this one! Nice texture, sound scapes, thin, thick, keeps your interest. Loved it.

fast paced CG Animation

I instantly saw this as an Animusic animation, with one of their wild animation/instrumentations playing this piece. And that's a good thing!

awesome
not much more to say than that. But I do agree, the ending was a little weak, should have ended on a stong note, that's just my taste though. Other than that, it was excellent!
