Thunder |
This is track 1 of Anaconda, an album by duo Steve Blank on electric drums, and myself on keys.
Hardest one to upload |
This is Roland V-drums, not assigned to MIDI with the Roland xp-60 keys.
Making the rumbling is actually a guitar effect on the keys four octaves down.
These tracks were recorded live as jam sessions. There's only four tracks, two for drums and two for keys.
I remember marvelling that the speakers were still intact after this loud onslaught.

Electronic thunder.
Your experimentals in exploring music jamming are awesome.

This is cool.
I like those drums. Almost thought they were real...

well the more of your tunes I listen to, the weirder they seem to get
but I actually do enjoy oddball space experimentation. Interesting soundscape.
I do stick with my idea of finishing it off with a piece of poetry voiced on top of it, with lots of verbing screams here and there, and some dynamic effectuation to the main voice... fat choruses, then some heavy eqqing, then some extreme stereo spread...
would make it a really interesting type of music for a much wider audience.
but hey it's just a thought

drums are real... |
In that; tho electronic drums, it's a real drummer playing them. I don't like electric drums over acoustic, but they have their advantages. Easier to move, for one. Never have to be tuned, for two. Plus, Steve insists on them...so you get the natural timing feel of a real guy, and it isn't too annoyingly locked in, like MIDI can be.
this is exactly my 101st post.
What an addictive site-even more than my link list-what with rotten.com and deadmalls.com and all. The first link mentioned is very gross real things, like what happens when you don't wear a helmet on a motorcycle. Just so you know...

Sounds like Thunder |
Definately an ambient piece of music. Free flowing quality with a jazzy disconnectedness. I like the rumble you create.
