Come Over Here
*

This song is not in a battle

A stab at writing a medium, upbeat radio worthy piece, with a female vocalist in mind. There's an ending drum machine blurb and a flat vocal note in a spot, but all in all, pretty alright, I think.

Hear's the words:

Come over here beside me, and tell me where have you been?
You say your man's done made some other plans, and now you're out . . .
but without him?
Come over here beside me. I'd like to get with you . . .
and we could do all them things like we used to do  . . .
me and you.

I've been missin' sweet kissin'  . . . the way our lips fit I never wanna quit it.
Let's watch the sunrise up in each others eyes, come on, baby, over here.
(come on . . . if your comin' )

Come over here beside me, don't ya think you been gone enough?
You're lookin' hot, I'd like another shot at your love.
can't get enough.
Come over here beside me, that's all I ask of you.
The stars are bright in the sky and the moon's brand new,
 n' made for two!

I've been missin' sweet kissin' . . . the way our lips fit, I never wanna quit it,
We'll have a good time, downin' the moon shine,  come on, baby, over here.
(come on . . . if you're comin' )

Come over here beside me, and grab a hold of my hand,
Let's take a chance on romance, baby love me again, let's love again
Come over here beside me, back where you belong. The night is young,
and I'm ready now to drive you home . . . get you alone.

I've been missin' sweet kissin'. The way our lips fit, don't never wanta quit it.
I'll watch the sunrise, in baby blue eyes. Come on baby, over here.
I've been missin' sweet kissin'. The way our lips fit, I never wanta quit it.
Let's share a love bite, out in the the moon light. Come on, baby, over here.
Come on baby, over here.
(Come on . . . if you're comin' )

sounds good, bouncy and cheery.

I agree that a female voice might be better...then you might want to adjust some of the lyrics in the first verse (You say your man's done made some other plans, and now you're out . . .but without him?)

you should listen to a bunch of the female voices on this site and decide who you think would be a good match with your song. then pm them.

fun!

lol...I recognize my good ol' SR16 " rock" #07 preset drum sample in there....have used it many times myself. The song has great possibilities. I agree you should look for a good vocalist, and punch up the instrumentation some (better guitar sounds...also, I'm not hearing any bass in there...could be way low in the mix)

Caught me!
Yes . . . I knew I had to "adjust" a line here and there to femanize this tune. As far as screening this site for a possible vocalist, with dial-up, it's a pain to load the tunes (takes maybe 10 minutes per) and, as far as I know, there's no way to seperate the femmes from the men before doing so, but I'm certainly considering this as an option, should I decide this tune merits re-recording.  Thanks . . . No, your voice has a lot of character - gives the song some depth. Reminds me of Supertramp during one of their less serious moments (this is a compliment). Everything just need more punch.
Its a lot of fun.

like your voice
you have a distinct sounding voice. I like it. just need to practice staying on pitch a little better in spots ( nothing real bad ). The song itself is nice, like the vocal melody and backups, nice piano playing and sounds. Maybe rerecord it; level it out some, and tighten the lead vocal pitch, and you got a real good radio hit.
