I'm not into the urban lifestyle at all... I don't get the rap attitude at all.. and song explains why and / or what. I hope you like it... It's a couple of years old and was part of the Stormrider project. All instrumentals are by me (guitars, bass, keyboard organ) and voice too.

I'm personally not too happy with the vocals or the lyrics... but I really wouldn't know what else to do with this.

Pretty damn good I think. 

IMHO the drums are a little too clean, as are the vocals; that said, I think the rhythms are excellent, and the way the vocals fit in are good too.

Actually, it sounds a little like early Stranglers - nice Puppet, nice.

I bet you'd make it darker if you did it now!

jiminuk - the only thing I'd do to this tune is make an instrumental mix, or maybe one loaded with samples from 70s and 80s police series. Make it darker? Hmmm... .the Stormrider project was a punk/rock/funk kindof project, based on live instrumentalism (xcept for the drums). After Stormrider I went "New Line" and slowly transmigrated into the semi-electro rock type of thing with a touch of industrialism... changing styles meant changing subjects to yap about, and... blahblahblah

I like this. Especially the change at about 1:45 and the backing vocal on the bridgey bit.
Drums are great as always and I like the synth later on in the tune.
I'd agree with Jiminuk about dirtying the vocals a bit.
Good song. Nice to hear a continuing variety to your work.
