Unchain Me
*

This song is not in a battle

This is a song I wrote while I was with a band called Once a Traitor. This recording was actually finished after I left. Here are the lyrics.

Unchain Me

I feel the strain of all the faces I must maintain
Hi, nice to meet you but you're in my space
Another mask for me to keep in place
The bottoms out and my hold is slipping

I can't contain a million stories, must I explain
The weight is growing, what was my name
The life I sold you is incomplete
The bottoms out and the soul is missing

Unchain me

I'm on my feet, the door is open but I can't leave
I'm shackled down by this plastic smile
A pretty face that's built to deceive
I've bottomed out in this painted prison

Unchain me

I'm fallen, broken, breathless
My struggle leaves me helpless
I'm here again, I'm here again
I bring a life in shambles and you raise this holy temple
On my covered sin, my covered sin

Unchain me

Great quality.
A bit of metal and USA modern rock.
Not exactly my taste but the song is good for the style.
Everything is well distributed and regulated. Vocals are pretty decent.

We got here quite a good song... well played, like the drums they are pretty funky.

Guitars are good, your volumes are good, good sound really good atmosphere and awesome power! really blows you away when we get into the chorus. Very few people are able to get power and "blow away" here on bandamp, its not an easy thing to do and this is great.
I mean it sounds like Nickelback.... only better

I am sure that the "metal" guitar was completely unnecessary and actually wrecked the song... actually that sounds too harsh, that guitar with the crazy distortion and doing all the metal licks is really really good EXCEPT all the stuff he/she plays is completely out of the song and doesnt go with it, except the part after 3:03 or so, liked that bit. But its an absolutely awesome song but that guitarist has to hear the genre and the feel, he sounds like he has headphones on and is 100% listening to him playing his guitar (which he did an awesome job) but doesnt fit in with the rest of it.

Very awesome song though

Wow i really like it.

It's well recorded and i really like your voice. It's a bit like Nickelback's lead singer.

What a great sounding track - one to download for me.
I love the overall "feel" of this one.
Good playing, great vocals, nice mix, and decent recording quality.

wow, pretty heavy... great quality.

actually it's so heavy it feels as though this track lasts like 8 minutes or so while it's only 3 mins 46... that's something I normally don't like so much. it's over saturated, and it wears me down quickly. it grabs me, sucks me in, and then causes claustrophobic sensations. However, that is the style of this music, which is - - - not really my thing, although I can enjoy it every now and then.

anyways, nice job.

I am going to disagree with chill. I loved the thrashing licks. It was simply a really good composition. Too bad you're not with them anymore, the band sounds like it comes togather really well.

I think this rocks. love the lead vocal sound (he does remind me of nickelbacks singer) .
well put together, song has direction. not to repetitive. it has style .  I'm kinda with chill on the lead  it's cool to have chops, but imo, you should always play to the song. the start of the second solo fits alot better till he starts dweedling . As a guitarist I have to watch out for this myself; on over playing, and not playing to the song. The song does rock though. I rate this real high.
