This song is not in a battle

my grandfather played with the cleveland orchestra (he had a gibson harp guitar....nice...)

he died in 1959...before my time.  I was playing this one day & my mom said I sounded just like him.

pickin' & grinnin'

Hmmm - quick on the draw, yes it is!  I downloaded the song and played it at the correct speed (recorded at 32KHz instead of 44.1KHz) but even then it still sounded a bit fast to me.
Nice bit of picking though, and a good sound to the guitar!

actually......a close friend has an online site.....& has asked me to sit in as a guest.

haven't got around to it yet.....but workin' on it.

the rag time thing?  yup.....named it after my grandfather who played in the 1930's -1940's.  that's where my head was at when I wrote it.  I've expanded it since that upload......it makes me feel great just playin' it!

& hey....i was pretty down in the dumps......'til I read your response.

thank you very much!

lolololol Kunadiun.....
Holy mackeral!!!!

I'm blushing all the way from my head to my toes    Freakin' awesome you say?  well....thank you SO MUCH.

i guess that's freestylin'.......um.....i just always liked pickin' better than strumming.  been pickin' since '72, so i guess i've built up a little speed. Chet Atkins is my hero.  Lester Flatt & Earl Shcruggs too.  (they did the Beverley Hillbillies theme)

hopefully I can meet up with my friend soon.....& post something on Utube....he's also friend of my nephew's & I played one night for them....after many brews.....& he became my biggest fan lol.

again.......THANKS!!

WOW! You should be outthere filling halls. With talent such as yours, I bet everyone you handshake eventually becomes a guitarplayer. You should definitely insure your precious fingers and on the way down to the bureau, watch out for any mad dogs passing by and keep your hands IN your pocket!

This has to be one of most fun and whimsical tracks I've heard on here.  Whimsical is a VERY good way, not like silly   I'm a big fan of bluegrass and folk so this is right up my alley.  Not sure if you've heard of The Punch Brothers, but you'd fit in their band perfectly!
