*
Score: 68.0%
Rank: 9th
Battle: 2006-11

This i an arranged version of the old guitar version of Rayz - "Here I Am"...
Help me to win the battle guys...=)

...Peace...

Lyrics :

It's Over
My love for you
Has gone away
Gone away
Flying with the wind

Feel so sad
My heart is broken in million pieces
Now I'm here
Wondering where you are

Now you're gone
You're gone away
Away from me and
You're not coming back

Here i Am
Standing Here
Waiting for you
To comeback in my life
Can't hold it
This feeling in my heart
You're the one I need

If only
You comeback in my life
I promise I won't let you down or sad
But baby
If you're not coming back
One thing you should know

That
Here i Am
Standing Here
Waiting for you
To comeback in my life
Can't hold it
This feeling in my heart
You're the one I need

Too much reverb on the vocals?

Really nice arrangements. Like the strings.  With drier vocals this could be great.

Have to agree with Aetheris on everything he says. The reverb gives it a nice feel but is a bit overdone.

I'd prefer a better ending- a bit abrupt as it is.

Good song though.

I think this has got a real Crowded House sort of sound, don't know if that's what you were going for but if it was, then nice one, I like crowded house. Yeah, I agree with above about vocals.

If anybody here complains about poor arrangement & over-Reverb, You guys should all blame on me..... i play in all parts of Mr.Rayz Music. Haha

Indeed it was too much reverb inside the song.

I ain't got any decent monitoring yet , so- it's difficult for me to get on proper frequencies right when mixing down a song.

It sounds like your trying to be as soft and mellow as possible, or not even trying. It reminds me of church, when I'm not having fun.

and the next step is ................... what?
There is enough pop content here that y'all should get some professional production and arrangement help (without selling your first born and your soul) to step this up to a pro level. Waiting it out for a break by doing it all yourself is always the long odds. Even with experienced help it's a crap shoot. Although success from scratch happens some place everyday  the number of busts probably out number the successes 500K to 1. Locally, we remember Clint Black hanging out and playing in every honky tonk around Houston for 10 years as a single or with friends before he snagged something with Columbia --a year before he went national he got some help from Hayden.
