Stumpit again
*

This song is not in a battle

This is TritonKeyboarder's Stumpit re-done by me (with his ok) with a guitar laid overtop. Remixed so it's not too far out and no verb or phaser. What do you think? Would a cleaner sound be better? I like this groove very much.

I think that the guitar in the intro should be removed...It sounds too busy for the intro, and I would leave it out entirely, then clean up the guitar in the main melody, but on the change it sounds great as is... it is funky enough to warrant this kind of sound...

I think it sounds great otherwise...

Thanks  for the input JDA. Yeah,  the intro is silly. i was just screwing around trying to get in the mood, hoping I could come up with something catchy and i forgot to bump it when i finished. After listening for awhile after work, i think a nice clean slightly phased sound would be better . The B sections i just treated as a place to solo but I agree they need a real melody to complete the Head. I had been recording usind my PDA and a signal splitter with my stage pre-amp but i finally got to use a multitrack program last night before the gig.Now I can seperate the guitar track and the rhythm tracks for mixing.

Pretty nice playing over the top of a nice bit of music.  Still reminiscent of David Greenslade - but with a bit more of a rocky twist.
I think to do the tune justice, it needs more than the same sounding guitar soloing over the top.  A break with a clean chorused guitar with funky strumming would sound pretty good!!!

Retro Porn!!! That's great! But... it begs the question - How long have you been listening to porn music? Perv!
I agree with all you said except fot the Dead reference. I like this groove more everytime I hear it, I guess because it's what I grew up with .

Right o, that was completely unexpected!
For some reason it reminds me of american tv drama music ( crossed with the afore mentioned porn groove of course!) Melrose place meets teenage midget nuns mud wrestling or something! Maybe daytime soap theme. it works dont get me wrong. The piece could be used in a productive format for you both.

Great instrumental gtr work. Great tone but would have loved it to be a bit more immersed with the keys, some freq blending or what not.
Groovy work
