- OTHER TRACKS AVAILABLE AT http://music.mp3lizard.com/cron/ -

first draft of an untitled track in the key of E.

written after I quit my boring job, haven't put drums in yet, because I dislike my drum machine, trying to add some more guitar too.

enjoy

E Song

i'm going far, today, I don't notice anyway
i'm in the stars, lookin' grey
i drop down from mars, to say
i don't want this anyway
i have to sing, on my own

and then i pick up my guitar, and then i sing
and i serenade myself
each single note i play, will knock me off my feet,
so i fall and sing along.

i don't want to be, here no more,i say
i'd rather sit around all day
there's nothing that you could say to make me go,
i'd rather sit here, and take it slow

i'll spin around for days,i know i know nothing anymore
i'm in the stars, and so bored
i resigned today, oh lord, i'm not involved no more no way
i have to sing on my own.

Your style is very laid back and special (in a good way ofcourse) I like it alot. Light drums would make this better if there's anything I would like to say about the effects side of things.

Good song ,hopethe finished version comes together soon ,in the words of the Who 'pick up my guitar and play just like yesterday'  not bad at all.

Yes, I like this one.  It has a very "Travis-like" feel to it.

I don't particularly like the sound of the lead guitar, which could do with smoothing out slightly in my opinion, and I also think it's a little too loud at times; also, you should use a mike guard or something to stop the popping when you sing, but they're just comments on recording techniques really (and I'm a novice at it on the PC, so perhaps I shouldn't really comment )

Anyway, the actual song itself is good.  The finished version should be excellent

I agree about the sound of the guitar...  it definitely needs some tweaking...

Mega!
Wow I really like this! Your voice sounds like a cross between Chris Martin and the guy from Athlete! It's weird but it works really well. I really like the guitar parts in this song. Can't wait to hear a finished version one day!

Its great
Hey Steve. Great tune, agree with the Harrison comparison made above. Across The Universe.

As suggested before maybe speed up that bridge slightly and bring the drums in on
"then I pick up my guitar" There is a great song there.

yeps... work on your recording style (guitar tone, balances, more arrangement - as you said it's unfinished, so why don't you try to finish smth before you upload?) but hey - this is really nice tune.

good song. I can hear this in an acoustic setting with manual "congobongo" percussion and perhaps a tamb. why not? right now it's pretty acoustic anyway.

great vocal backing.

nice rating that I left you...

great voice! love the 'oooh'! great song too, definitely worth recording again with some arrangement, and work on those guitar parts, give it a descent ending...
nice lyrics too, kinda depressive yet relaxed
