Heaven's Out of Reach | ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Don't be surprised by the first chord of "Heaven's Out of Reach"--it is actually the last chord of "The Forest" (a song that that I uploaded earlier): on our self produced CD "Heaven's Out of Reach" fades in right after "The Forest" with no "space" (sorry, forgot the right term for it) in between. Hope you like it, but let me know either way.
Like this song...
I've had this running in a loop last night while I was reading posts, and it was just great. The instrumentals are all nicely balanced and the mix is lovely. It did take me a while before I could recognize that the vocals were in english
haha... seems your accent got me fooled... but it was late and I was really tired... so...
ps "space" you mean "pause between tracks"?

And I thought my accent was OK at the time...poor me. Anyway, it goes like this:
Why did I answer the phone to hear such wrecking news
Is it my time to break down, to cry, to sing the blues
Or is it time that I finally stop to call your name
Why am I hoping in vain for the sun in pouring rain
That gets me soaking head to toe
Heaven's out of reach you told me so
I am the hunter who tries to avoid a humble pray
I am a gambler who never cash ins a winning game
Once in a while the mirror reflects a painted smile
Seems that it's going to be okay and very fine
But let me tell you just once more
Heaven's out of reach when skies are low
I want this madness to end
I want to see you again
Heaven's out of reach...
I do not listen when everyone says I did okay
How do they know that I stake so much a bigger claim
Deep are the waters I'm ready to cross without a sail
And if you're coming along you'll have no one to blame
Not then not now not at all
Heaven's out of reach I tried I know
I want this madness to end
I want to see you again
Heaven's out of reach...
PS I recall there being another one word term for "pause between tracks"--you know those engineers: they have their own lingo.

I know the word "gap" is also used...
anyway don't worry about your accent. It is what makes your music... your music, gives it an extra charm. ah, you know

Another breath of fresh air
Well done again bratello, while your songs are not the style of music I would normally listen to, you do them so well that I keep coming back for more!
:D

If I were to sing this same song, my lack of "accent" (or different accent, depending on the listener's perspective) would ruin it. Your accent is as much a part of the song as any instrument.
Great lyrical flow with the continuation of the "Why am I hoping in vain for the sun in pouring rain / That gets me soaking head to toe" line over the musical discontinuity. I really get into stuff like that.
