Not my greatest (i'm not usually this "emo"), but it is my latest (recording that is)

lyrics :
gone down by the shore looking out
was feeling the waves coming in

can't separate, cold gray from green

i'd turn sunday around (X4)

i'd drown in this lake just to know
i'll sink in those tears beautiful

stay inside the lines, fish eyes to the sky

i'd turn sunday around (X4)

gear:
old ibanez sabre guitar
tascam dp01-fx digital 8-track
apex 460 microphone

oh...

nice tune. I like it. the lyrics are taken right out of my mouth. but my right ear exploded by listening first time to the chorus. so you should equalize the voice track a bit. its very dominant in this way. probably more effect to the voice would make it less shrill.

was intentionally going for a dynamic build to the chorus but i agree TK, it does pop out to much. i'm looking for some free or inexpensive mastering software, particularly something with extensive compression. recommendations?

nice song,  I like when the chorus comes in.  I like how the guitar is sparse when you sing the verse and then punctuates them.

Nice and simple song.
You have a good voice. The guitar playing is good.
Nice voice arrangements at the ending.

Well, the vocals certainly woke me up at 1:22

I'm not so keen on this song though - it drags on just a bit too much for me.  That said, you have some nice "grit" to your voice.  And I mean that in a good way!

the recoding quality is good, not much (any?) background noise for not having really expensive gear.  like the previous guy said, nice grit on the vocals...

I'm sorry....I was almost immediately bored by this song. A single, slow instrument....just....I dunno, not my thing
