ANYDAY
In collaboration with: JBP
*
Score: 87.7%
Rank: 2nd
Battle: 2006-04

This is a song I made some time ago. Did not know really what do with it and I sent my track to JBP. So he completed the tune with a melody, lyrics, guitars and vocals.

So it has become another wonderful song (I think) in this colaboration between JBP and me.

The first title was "the trash song". But anyhow this is what we are coming up with. And if you like it.....

........ please please rate it

The lyrics
Anyday

Anyday i'm going to make it right
Gonna leave the bad luck behind
(And) you won't shoot me in the heart

Anyday i'll have to do the fight
Gonna try and untie me
Unchain my love

    It's you that I choose
    It's you that I choose

Soon enough I'll find a peace of mind
get some time
For me and you alone

Anyday i'll make the best of life
Gonna make it entwine us
Unwind the unknown

    It's you that choose
    It's you that choose

Agreed. Beautiful harmonies, tasteful and well-placed guitar/piano fills woven delicately through. Lead vocals are beautiful. Love the chords, the satisfying backbeat, bass runs. Guitar lead simple, unobtrusive and very effective. Recording quality appears flawless.
Overall, a soothing, compelling piece. Going on playlist. By the way, prefer "Anyday" as the title.

Good song.  Excellent recording quality, mix, and instrumentation.  There is, perhaps, an abundance of bass, though?  JBP has a wonderful voice, as always, right down to the "ahh..." harmonies.  The overall feel of the song is a bit "safe" for my tastes, but others could certainly say that the feel is beautiful.  I couldn't argue with that.

Absolutely Fabulous.....

Truly a work of art.....    This gets a 100 rating from me...    A+

INcredible harmonies....  The arrangement is top notch.  I could not add much to what was already said..   Perfection on a stick...  or on an mp3 player anyway..

Wow!

Straight into my playlist, and (more or less) straight on to my MP3 player.  This is just excellent again - even more so because of how it was made.
The blending of instruments is fabulous - and I like the "bassi-ness" of it; the vocals are just brilliant; and the production is amazingly professional.

Fabulous!

This is not fair! It's impossible to compete against JBP... when he put his nose in a song, it's a sure hit.
This was a great from both of you, TK and JBP... not exactly my style, but the song is good anyway.

Yeah well - is there anyway left to praise this song?

Good singing, lyrics and production.

Love the "ah"s too, and all the little details here and there - the guitar "bridges" also really suits the song that hasn't got that much lyrics...

Midi drums sounds like midi drums, and they always will, but I like the way they vary in this production! What kind of software is used? If its anything like Fruity Loops, which I use, there's been put a lot of man-hours in it.

By the way - the guitar in the intro is very Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits-like...

Thumps up!

Many many thanks to you all for the nice comments. This tells me that we are on the right way to do great things.

I never had a complex piece for recording like this though it sounds so simple. And for the question of Kazpa here is what I use to record with:

1 old ATARI ST for Midi recording, software is Creator
1 new PC for WAV recording. software is Samplitude

And yes you're right. The drums are midi played in one track out of the Triton rack. So except the drums track there are 22 other tracks used. And the Aah's are recorded on 3 tracks.
