I like doing nothing

Score: 84.1%
Rank: 4th
Battle: 2006-08

A new song of mine - hope you like.

I'd love to know what you think, please.

The lyrics are as follow:

In fact, no one has time anymore,
Why should we hide it - we all need to try and catch our life
But how about less noise around us?
And fewer phone calls, fewer meetings, fewer places....?

Chorus:  La la la la la I like doing nothing,
La la la la la absolutely nothing
La la la la la I like wasting my time
La la la la la completely

HOPE YOU CAN INDENTIFY

Nice surprise!  Hearing Polish reminds me of the childhood trips to Warsaw (name's Sverchevsky, by the way, or Swierczewski, if you like) and makes this song stand out from "the crowd".  Other than that...I hope you get paid for doing this: it's a professional job just like the rest of your songs.

Very groovy bass! It has a very strange beat....I can't quite place the influence.
The strings were also a very nice touch, the timing was quite good with those.
As always, this is a professional job.

Lyrics... No matter what the language, I can understand your point of view (through your translation).  I enjoy the opportunity to hear songs in my non-native (English) tongue, so thank you for that!

The instrumentation is a little too synthetic for my tastes.  Kind of reminds me of 70's porn (not that I'd know)

But your voice is tremendous... Your songwriting ability is likewise tremendous.  In fact, I think that the same song, delivered through the vehicle of a rock band, would be near flawless.

Thanks for the upload!

Brilliant this brought a smile to my face!! I love the funky feel. Never saw much porn in the 70s so I can't eleborate on what yeahigotadayjob said, but there is quite a mix in sounds in this track that seem to blend together well. I thought that the string sounds in the verses (for example around 2:00) were either a touch too loud or too dry - not too sure, but for some reason they stood out to me.

The sound quality, depth, and detail are all up there. Goes without saying that the vocals are great

and yeh, I can relate to the lyrics - great track!

Seriously funky bass.  The whole thing is, once again constructed, played, sung, and recorded superbly.  You certainly know how to put together a decent sound.
I suppose my only criticism has to be that I think you overdo the whistling towards the end.  Other than that, almost perfect!!!

YES!
That's it. I like the dry strings and the weired brasses at the beginning. All in all again a successful record.

Yes. That intro just took it right from the beginning. Loving every second of it. The violin and slap bass make really interesting contrast. I don't understand a word of what I'm guessing is Polish but what I can read in English is amazing.

Oh yeah, this is cool. You're perfect. I like the lyrics (I've read the English lyrics because I don't understand Polish).

wow very nice.

I like the variety of instruments. I'm assuming you played all the guitars. what did you use for strings, bass, etc? strings sound very realistic.

someone said this song played by a rock band would sound especially nice. I'll second that, though I think it sounds fine as is.

I guess my only critique would be that it sounds a bit too clean... or, software-ish... for my ears.

anyway, good song.
