This song is not in a battle

This is a song I wrote for my g/f. I put it up here because what i've done to the chorus is really weird and you either love it of hate it. Plus i didn't really put an awful lot of time into it so it sort of pales out near the end.

VERSE 1:

I know things are kinda weird right now,
And you're going through some stuff.
the earths orbit a treadmill,
And you can't run fast enough.

You gotta pause and take a moment,
A-fix a tighter pair of shoes.
Because I know you're made of something,
That is destined not to lose.

And, baby,
It hurts to see you in this state.
If only feelings could redeem themselves,
And all the spirits that they break.

CHORUS:

(And I...)

And I am here whenever.

(And I...)

And I've been here forever.

(And I...)

Let me be the teather,
On which you swing.

VERSE 2:

And when the world begins to shatter,
And you're stepping on the cracks.
I'll be there to push the wheelchair,
When it finally breaks your back.

You remind me of a dingy,
Floating out at sea.
I'm that lighthouse in the distance,
Guiding you to safety.

And It'll rain a little harder, still,
You'll probably get a bit more cold.
But just imagine how great that shower will feel,
When you finally get a hold.

CHORUS:

(And I...)

And I am here whenever.

(And I...)

And I've been here forever.

(And I...)

Let me be the teather,
On which you swing.

Man, I love your music and your voice!
This just makes me love your music more and more... Just try to improve those noises on the recording. But your music is anyway cool.
Keep this up. I'm your fan.

A nice relaxing song . Nice piano too, is it real or keyboard?

Beautiful
Absolutely beautiful! Noisy, production wise, but it's a fabulous song, well written. I love your voice, but I'm not sure about that low vocal harmony, it's a nice touch, but I don't think all the notes were supported, but nothing bad by a long shot. You have a wonderful lyrical writing style.

I love the overall feel of this track - the lyrics are great, and your voice suits them well.

Production wise, it's as Creative says - it needs some work; this could be a truly superb song if it were recorded better..... But don't stop writing!

Woah. Recording wise: OW
Musically: WOW
IF the piano isn't real you fooled me.
Verry fuzzy, though. Wish I oculd tell you how to fix that.

Love the lyrics, the melody, the piano. Very Randy Newman feel to it (I like Randy Newman a lot) in the melody and chordal progressions in the piano. The chorus doesn't work well for me, not sure if it's because the low sounds a bit unsupported, or it's a bit too haphazard, or if it doesn't fit the rest of the song well. I guess I'll have to listen to it some more to figure that out. Heh. As others have said, production quality is lacking, but overall, I really like it a lot. Thanks!
