Wont Give Up
*

This song is not in a battle

I put vocals to 'Mountains' and I am really dissappointed with it. I just couldn't get my voice sounding good, and the quality of the recording is pants, with the stupid clipping and it going all distortedery and...grrr!
This stupid damn laptop with its stupid slowness and its stupid crappy sound...
Need a job!

Lyrics:

Got to find the holes,
Paralel spaces in between.
Its got to all fit together,
And feel just like my dream.

I wont give up,
It'll work one day.
No I wont give up,
Oh come what may.

Got to take my time,
Let it all just find its place,
For patience is a virtue,
And virtue is a grace.
Freedom will taste sweeter,
If I don't complain,
So I sit... And I wait,
Until this song drives me insane.

I wont give up,
It'll work one day.
No I wont give up,
Oh come what may.

I will find,
My place one day.
And I,
Might even have,
Something good to say.

I wont give up,
I wont leave this alone.
No I wont give up,
'Cause I've found my home.

great great song.

I thought the music was great already, but with vocals it's become much stronger.

This style his hanging to electro-goth here. The dreariness and sadness fits in well with the scene.

great job! the audio quality isn't super, but suffices. some more stereo spread on the vocals would have been nice though. and there is some clipping in the choruses, definately a master-level set too high.

great stuff...

I thought I could be hard on myself - but you really know how to knock yourself!

This is great, your voice is great, the recording is ..... ok it's not great, but it's pretty good.  The clipping is there as you say, but Puppet has said why (and I'm not experienced enough at recording to argue  )

Stop being so hard on yourself.  You don't have professional sound equipment, so you're not going to get a totally professional sound.  But then you have TALENT - that combined with the ok equipment you do have is allowing you to record some truly excellent songs.

Just read all the positive posts you get!!!

I htink you're partly right, the vocals aren't the best, but it's definitely not to blame on yourself. I LOVE the piano. With better recording, this is easily professional.

I thought the original was cool enough, this sounds great with vocals!
