For Duane
*

This song is not in a battle

This is my tribute to Duane Allman.  Listening to him I realized that all the rules I had learned so far could be broken.  He certainly wasn't the first to use alternate tunings, picking techniques and a slide, but he was the one who opened these doors for me.
I wrote this song to be a prelude to Duane Allman's composition "Little Martha", and you can hear the first couple bars of it as the tune fades.  I left it there just to show "For Duane" in the context for which it was intended. Hope that's within the rules.

Duane Allman is the man, and you definately are as well!  I actually enjoyed your last song more, but this was excellent as well.  What did you tune your strings to for this song (if you don't mind me asking)?

linked to band amp because of this song. I wish I knew how you did that, I just acquired my guitar a few months ago and this is really impressive to me: I guess it could be really simple and I am just such an amateur that I don't realize something. Yeah. So I thought I would give you a compliment.

I think it is cool how the notes all seems to be differnt - I do not hear very much repititon. But, something is wrong with the play button it wont let me listen to the song anymore to respond very well.

So yeah...

Ecases is the guy that brought me to Bandamp way back in 2006 (as a result of a random Google search). I was curious to see if I could still find his tune here...and I did! I'm an old Duane Allman fan and Ecases does this tune justice.
