I was wondering; could I make my own version of "Whiskey In The Jar" and post it here on BandAMP?
Me and my buddy, Stig, are working on something very cool, and would like you guys to hear it when it's finished..

I have written lyrics, and we're working on some cool guitar-stuff...

Do I have to make it a lot different than Thin Lizzy and Metallica's version?
I want to make it different, but I also want people to recognize it..

I looked at all the lyrics of Whiskey In The Jar, and saw that I have a totally different story in my lyrics!! 
They have all used the same story.. I haven't.. 

The only thing I use from that song, is the melody... So, I guess it's more of a parody than a cover...

It's not actually a parody either... Cause it's not funny... 
They have all used the same chorus...
My chorus goes like this:

"Well, there's the brandy and whiskey and beer.
 That's what my daddy does. That's what my daddy does.
 There's whiskey in the jar-o."
