Mean Baby Blues
I'm not sure if this is considered abuse, but the riff for the song Mean Baby Blues by bassplayer1957  is almost an exact copy of the one in South California Purples by Chicago. The only difference is that Mean Baby Blues is not recorded as well, is a less defined, and has much more slap bass. The actual ryhtm and notes are exactly the same. The rest of the song is totally different though.

as for the riff being the same as Chicago's, let me just say that it is very similar, because it is one of the most popular generic blues riffs out there, it is virtually the same as about 45 different blues rock songs out there, I love it, I think if you changed it it would be a crime, and I see no real copyright infringement here, as it is a very common riff...

Hey guys, blues is always the same, except for the instruments and the effects you use!

Hey man, I love blues. I always play blues and make cool solos over blues basis, but we must say every blues is the same of the other.
