I like the tone...givin me a Satch vibe..very cool. When is it going to kick in to the high octane shreddin and drums?
Guess it's not....Track is way to short and doesn't go anywhere. It is a very nice piece with lots of potential .Some nice runs and riffs! Maybe the entire series goes together to make the complete journey/song?

Thanks for reviewing my guitar instrumental. Right now my Guitars 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 are instrumentals.  Maybe someday Sammy Hagar will call me and want to use these to make songs out of.  I have lots of songs on my website JamesLimborg.com as well as many more music I've written and recorded since 1988. - JamesLimborg.com

very nice playing, and the production is really top notch, but i feel that youre not letting us hear the whole piece. I think this could be something really amazing if you add some kick ass drums and give it a more constant bass line.... oh, and if you make it longer

In all of my guitar instrumentals (Guitars 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010)... it's all about the main guitar idea.  The left speaker I have the main guitar idea in distortion... sometimes using the MXR (Eddie Van Halen-version) PHASE 90 effects pedal.  In the right speaker I play a clean-electric rhythm part.  The bass notes you hear in the center is actually the clean-electric part transposed an octave lower... I cut and dragged the low notes where I wanted them.  Then added a 600ms pre-delay stereo-REVERB along with a 600ms DELAY that I have panned to the right/left speaker.  I kept it all guitar... hence the titles GUITARS... But yes... I to hear these instrumentals many different ways as well... Another idea I had was with a full-orchestra behind the guitar music.  Yes drums, bass, keyboard sounds would be cool too.  I hear all that as well.  But I purposely kept it simple because right now it's just about the guitar idea I came up with.  Good example is Eddie Van Halen's guitar instrumental titled 316... just Ed playing guitar.  That's what inspired me to write my 1st one GUITARS 2006.  Just wanted to write something similar to Ed's 316 is all... and because people liked Guitars 2006 and some guitarists were learning it... It inspired me to write more.  Most recently someone purchased my GUITARS 2008 and is learning it.

this explains a lot, you have a unique vision,
would love to hear it more developed as a (rock)song with accompany, but great playing anyway
i heard the eddie influence right away, great sound!

The INTRO and ENDING play double-speed.  I did that because for me... it's FUN to hear music played double-speed... and it's different... I haven't heard anyone do it... so I'm doing it.  The middle section is the actual part I wrote... On days I'm in the mood to play guitar... I'll spend 15-30 minutes working on something... and then the rest of the time jamming Van Halen to get the guitar bug out of me.  Eventually I'll have enough material to start the recording process.  When recording... I try to play it slow and play the notes I intend... but for LIVE performance... I'll do a lot more improvising.  The MAIN idea is in my studio versions... but I encourage guitarists that learn MY music.... to improvise their own cool melody ideas into what I wrote... Let the music inside YOU come out... don't burry your melodies playing mine.  I'd love to hear these instrumentals I wrote with a full-orchestra in the background with movie-theatre-style drums rumbling/thundering along with the beat... That's what I'd like to hear.  Another idea is seeing what David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar could do with turning these into a song with drums/bass/keyboards/background-vocals, etc. - JamesLimborg.com

Not big Eddie fan here but I do appreciated his talent...I think you play great ,but to me the guitar sounds to twangy although your Efx in production are quite superb...As far as the clone yeah I think to be influenced is good in many aspects but to clone is not  something I pursue.By the way I say this with all respect to both you and and him..is only how I feel and how I approach my compositions and playing...
This piece is quite complex and developed but again the guitar tone is not my favorite and even though the execution is phenomenal is not something I would buy...Anyways good show and welcome to the AMP...
Nice web site you have gave some good ideas tx...
