boring lecture time
*
hey, this is just a little noodle from a while back, (in the summer) when i had time to record.

i guess im posting it now cos i miss being part of the amp.

its a bit short on musical ideas, and is probably in the early stages of developement, but i have no plans at the moment to take it further (partly because i've forgotton how to play most of the parts, lol).

anyway, let me know what you think of it. i have to go to a lecture now (think im gonna be late).

Thanks

Ian

Absolutely LOVE the idea, a crystal clear finger picked acoustic backed by a haunting electro synth and techno beat.
MORE ! MORE ! MORE !
please!
As for this particular piece; bring the backing up and forwards in the mix, make it more solid (though I do love how it starts of whisperingly soft),keep the guitar going strong and get a female friend to sing a few lines of something to the 'general melody and tone' and youll have a very very cool song on your hands.

This sounds wonderful, and such a Lovely feel.

Perhaps you could build this up say after the minute mark gradually bringing more instruments as it moves.

Not long before Chritmas and new year perhaps you can find time to work on it then??????

Loved listened to this, it gets better the more times you listen to it!!!!!!

Cheers

a grand combination between ac guitar and synthesizer
what a great idea. but to me it is somehow unfinished in its basics. would really like to hear more work on this. develope a theme and bring it to the front.

Really nice tune, really clear recording, like the mix with the guitar and eletronic ambient sounds, trippy stuff

It got a nice concept. I has nothing wrong, nice recording, nice sequencing, nice idea. Hope to see the final product.

The electronic backround takes away from the song for me. What sound were you going for on the guitar? It sounds almost spanish :/.

I hate listening to songs I can't really comment. I'd love the sheet music or tabs for the main guitar riff though it was quite pleasent.

So, just a little less electronic and it would have been a perfect instrumental for me.

I think the electronic parts work well with it, except the higher sounds.  I think the guitar's nice crisp notes should make up the high sounds, and then let the arpeggiators cover the low electronic sounds supporting (if you want to go down the elctronic/accoustic route).  Really interesting idea for a piece though...had just inspired me to try something i've never done before.

thanks for the comments guys
Dark, i'd love a good quility spanish guitar, its just a normal acoustic on this. but I think youre right, its a scale thats popular with spanish guitarists (although im no spanish guitarist so dont quote me). I would let you know how to play it, but alas i have forgotton myself. It was just a little noodle, so i havnt tabbed it. But the intervals for the scale should be ( 1, 3, 1, 2, 1, 2, 2), cant remember the root note though.

Kobeshi, thats a good idea with the synth arpegiating the bass and guitar doing the highs. i shall experiment with that.

I'll keep the electronic factor though, cos without it i think it would sound boring

Thanks again

Ian
