Ya cool song! Nice fat guitar tone just perhaps a little boomy for me EQ wise... I have to agree though that the standout element of this is the vocal performance. The levels drop out a little in parts (tweak that compressor my friend) but in all it is very well recorded. Would be nice to hear a bit more depth to the sound though (sounds mono).

I can't whistle for shit since I had a brace as a kid, so I'm not gonna comment on that

Overall I think this song really suits you, good stuff. Of course kudos as well to the original!

PS. Try autotune on that whistle, it might work quite well if you configure it right.

Hey, sorry, just saw this.  First off, thanks for the compliments.  I record in mono, so I add depth with stereo expanders and stereo reverb.  I have one mic and an acoustic/electric.

I've never been happy with auto-tuners in the past.  They either screw with tone or don't work.  Any suggestions on a VST that is good?  I may have just been looking/configuring weird.

I didn't listen the original version, but this is one i so amazing.
I think the mixing is a bit dry, but that's so easy to fix, so it's not a problem. Actually, though there are some weak notes in the whistling, you could easily solve that with a bit of reverb there (always recalling "Jealous Guy").
But anyway is beautiful.

man you have an amazing voice. the lyrics are nice too.d whistling could do a little work tho. but all in all i like what i hear
