| What You Want v. 2 |
My second take at the great track by the John Butler Trio, "What You Want". I've made significant changes which include a new guitar, a re-done mix and re-recorded vocals. The arrangement has also changed slightly.
Let me know.

How pleasant! Rather than incorporating the changes I suggested, you rearranged the piece to justify you decision regarding the break. I was wrong. This works great w/o a bridge! The rating widget is failing for me, I'll rate it top marks as soon as it works.
Hmmmm... A lot of added complexity..which, in this case, for me is a turn off. I was liking the raw vibe you had going with the last version. That being said, I note the improvement (or lack thereof, in my case) in the vocal. I can tell you put some effort into and it sounds good, Although, again, it undoes the vibe of the original. well, Overall, the song is much more complex and much closer to a production sound, to which I say, BOOOO!!! LOL! I liked the original much better! im sure no one will agree. Great song, Avi.

That made my day. Thank you!
MAP---thanks again for "beta-testing" this for me!
Nice job with the mix, everything sounds on the right place.Your voice sounds pretty strong too,I do think you can sing and actually pretty good. The only critique and I might be complete off on this but theres is a strange separation between your voice and the mix ,is almost like you recorded to the actual wave as oppose to the individual tracks.Love that filtered sound on the guitar!!!

Great rating!

Great rating!

Thanks guys.
M: I agree about the separation---I was having a bit of trouble finding a perfect spot for the vocals. I also think it has a lot to do with my mic---the static it picks up when compared to the clean sounds of the rest of the track buffer it out of the mix.
