To helen with vox
*
Here is the vocal version!!!Marino & VK
Ghost story!!!!!

To Helen

In the darkness of a window,
On a rainy August night. She came to me,Glimmering white.
And she beckoned me outside,With a gentle wave of hand.
And I followed her, onto the land.

As I stepped upon the sea of the dewy greenery,
I knew not where she had gone,
I had found myself alone.Then a smell I can’t forget
And a touch upon my hand, and then she smiled.
I could not turn away.

She spoke a song of loneliness,
And of seeds that had never grown.
And of birds that never sang,
And of stars that never shone.

As the evening passed us by,
I began to wonder why; we both must be alone,
Whether spirit, flesh or bone.
I said, “Although I’m not as you, still our souls reflect the same,
You are not once more alive, but through me could live again.”
Then she slowly stepped within,
She could feel life through my skin, see through my eyes.
She was alive.
Though she stayed but for a moment,
She felt new, from living life.
Then she said she could not stay,
And slipped back into the night.
As yesterday did pass, and tomorrow did rise,
I stood again alone, ‘till her silhouette was gone.
Then her voice so sweet and good
Echoed to me through the wood
That one day she would return
For she still had much to learn.
And one day I’d bare a child
And to look into its eyes and she’d be there.
She would be there.

ok...
I was waiting with much anticipation...and I have not entirely been dissapointed.. I have always been a fan of subdued vocals, but this takes it a bit far I am afraid..  What I mean is, I think the vox need to be brought up just a tad in the mix.. I know I am a bit hard of hearing, but my wife agrees with me on this one, so it can't just be me..  I like the lyric, very haunting and spooky...  Anyway, the delivery is fantastic, I love it, you two are perfect for each other... Fantastic...

Hey, this is lovely!
Your voice is so sweet. I just would like to hear more wet... feel it a bit dry.
And, well, the drums once again, but that's a detail too.
Anyway, awesome!

Yes Wet and Dry !
Vocal needs something to place it right !

Love the Chorus Aaaas but I miss the didgeridoo ! lol

Yes, totally excellent song
Yes, vocal feels dry in parts though the effects 'on' the vocal are real nice.
Yes another hit from the Costellos !!

This is one challenging song, the vocals are in need of presence but the story calls for a surreal or rather ghostly FX.I tried many different things and I can't seem to bring the vocals forward because it creates to much separation from rest of the mix,and the tracks were indeed open in the original song track,so I'm a bit stuck(LOL).The wet and dry issues I think is a matter of taste but for sure the vocals would be awesome sitting on top.Ill keep playing with it!!!

As far as Lisa's vocal and lyrics they're amazing in my opinion!!!!

WOW!  I wouldnt call the vox subdued?  It fits the theme really well.  I suppose you could bring them up in the mix a bit, but be careful, you dont want to lose any of the impact of the music!  This is awesome! One of the better mixes Ive heard from you!  No complaints at all!  Love the layering on the vocals! Really cool!  The theme is beautiful and eerie!  GREAT JOB! HI RATINGS!!!

Oh I am in love with this song
What a voice. Beautiful sound and brilliant expression. Well done Kitty
As for the mix I would emphasize the vocal tracks. perhaps let it flow through a dynamic effect
