A bit of a change from the previously uploaded tracks. This is one of my other projects.
My project name in general is not Dj Skygrinder for a couple of years now. My alias is D'estri Aero.
However, for someone reason I registred for Bandamp.com with the Skygrinder name.
This is an acoustic song, pretty cheesy but I enjoy playing it despite it's simplicity. The Rhodes solo was by a friend musician D. Kumbaradzi. Pretty raw mixing, but meh.
The song was written after betraying a few promises and me falling back onto the road of drug abuse. Since then I have recovered completely (this took place a good 7 months ago). The substance we are talking about is Yays.
Used:
One mic.
Cubase SX.
Lyrics:
My little secret is a dirty one;
My dirty secret is not a little one.
My little secret will never get out;
My dirty secret is always too loud.
Chorus:
Your eyes showed night.
I know it all too well.
You didn't care but why.
I'll turn around, I'll walk away.
I'll tell you now, I need this not.
Day goes to night, and night to day.
Without it, Can't find myself.
Chorus:
My eyes showed night.
I know it all too well.
I didn't care but why.
My little secret is a dirty one;
My dirty secret is not a little one.
My little secret will never get out;
My dirty secret is always too loud.
Chorus (Both at once):
My eyes showed night.
I know it all too well.
I didn't care but why.

I like the simplicity of the guitar..and the plaintive quality in your voice (it sure sounds sincere). I agree that this could benefit from some more varied lyrics..but it's a great start - keep at it! ooh...like the organ part..adds a nice dimension (keep that for sure - but it could be developed into something a little longer)

You've worked this song out really well!
I expected some more Midi stuff, this was a pleasant surprise!
I think your vocal is very good, a little wobbly sometimes, but good!
The lyrics I like, I expected.....Another verse?...maybe?...A little more insight into your dirty secret?...maybe? lol
The song I really like, especially the harmonies work, except for your bass volume is a bit high!

I love this.
You had me with the first little guitar notes at the begining.
And your voice! Kings said it was 'wobbly' in parts. I agree but you know, sometimes wobbly is good. Its adds a sweet little quirkyness, and thats why I sometimes leave my wobbles in
I read the lyrics before I played it, and expected to hear something Taking Back Sunday-ish whining. Glad I didn't!
