Is it just me or do swordfish remind u a little of The Cult?
Are u a christian band? the lyrics seem 2 be about Jesus or maybe i'm not catching your drift.
Was waiting for a lot stronger/heavier sound about half way through but was ok. Have 2 find something else of yours 2 compare this too. Not bad.

Just listened to BC version, totally amazed! went looking for JimK's version, stumbled in here! Wow!
Just what it needed! for now! This ball could keep on rolling!
[interlude]
Just heard JimK's version and suggested he put some of his vocal into this version, I might still try putting some harmonies to this if I get the time but I'm not going to attempt the song after hearing this and seeing now where it's going.
Row row row your boat, it's another mass collab!
O! Hi ward, you ok? So what do you think of it so far?
[edit] sorry 'BC version' is meant to read 'toastedgoat version' - got carried away , there are just too many versions of this song!!!

It's MY song!!!!
It's been a collective collab,
It started in my room with an acoustic guitar and the lyrics. Then it went on to bandamp in the lyrics thread, then there was the midi version, then jimkdaadtman vocals version, then toastedgoat's vocals (I believe he's improved them from here), then you come here, to the swordfish instrumental layer of it. But that's not where it ends, soon, toastedgoat and basketcase will discuss the instrumental side of the song. I'm currently pulling the FL track apart so that they can keep some bits and chuck others out, so that basketcase can add his guitar (I've heard a sample, it sounds so cool with goat's voice). And then puppetxeno may add his bass to the mix, to have a fully operational track without as much midi (so it won't get on your nerves anymore). Oh, and I think Kings might have a crack at the vocals when he's not so busy...
And I might see if Jimk would like to try this as an acoustic song.
As for the Jesus thing, I'm not a christian, this song just turned out kinda like that (as kings pointed out in the lyrics forum). And I don't think it's about Jesus, let's see, I wrote it a while ago, what was it about... oh, yes, I re-read the lyrics, and it does seem very Jesus-y, but all that was coincidence, I was just trying to capture an emotional and poetic feel.
Also, about comparing the material, this is my first track with vocals on here, so, you could compare to my other lyrics (I've got four on here, and they're quite different), and I think vincentL is attempting to do 'The Precipice' on acoustic guitar/vocals.
Hey fish, I like the pulsing effect in the chorus, I think it would be cool to put more of the guitar in the verses, but it was good that you kept the midi in the mix.
P.S. Did basketcase tell you the chords, or did you work it out as you went? (I didn't have a clue that swordfish was doing this, I'm impressed that it was done without my aid, since I haven't really clearly described the the instrumentation on here)
Cheers! I'm amazed to see this song become more and more real infront of my eyes
Awesome!

| Huh? |
For the record.....Lmao, I have not uploaded anything to do with this track as of yet....Fish made the mistake in the chat and looks like he did again and Kings followed suit....just wanted to clear that up, Fish meant to thank Writers Block and Goat..not me....but...your welcome to thank me I guess....

| Wow very good |
This is very cool. I like the way you panned the guitars in this and the guitar sound is real close to what imho it needed. Excellent job on this. it changed the song in a good way.
I hope you saved the guitar file cause I need to upload the version without all the background noise in it (chair squeaks and papers moving about. plus I fixed some of the vocal problems in it. I'll try to upload it tomorrow evening.
