Cruelty

Hi there :P.. it was a while back since I posted my last things Well, we got something new now . It is the first song created by the band and me, it has no intro and outro, and some things must change, but it is quite like the final song will be . Perhaps you got any suggestions what to change, or what you think about it, just tell it .

Here are the lyrics by the way:
(I'm the one singing)

When will we stop killing other human beings?
When will we learn how to love?
When will we understand that we must change?
How much more blood must be shed?

Why does this happen?
Why is humankind so cruel?
When will we learn from our actions?
Why is humankind so cruel?

Why do people kill for religion?
Is that the will of their God?
Why do people get shot for their opinion?
Why are we so intolerant?

Why does this happen?
Why is humankind so cruel?
When will we learn from our actions?
Why is humankind so cruel?

Why does this happen?
Why is humankind so cruel?
When will we learn from our actions?
Why is humankind so cruel?

Nice work! I liked the "Gregorian chant" style on the vocals.

About the lyrics... well, i think we'll be asking ourselves those questions for a long time.

WHAT? NO RAIN?
Yea, I love your soundscapes!

Only thing is: I'm not too crazy about your Fat Accent, although I think it's good you stay so close to your natural voice, probably the best solution for this type of music.

keep it up, just don't make the intro and outtro too cheesy!

Sounds pretty good, I look forward to hearing the finished version. I love the mix of flute? (or whatever) and electric guitar. The song sounds really well mixed to me.

Petshops
I hate comparing musicians but this is very Petshop Boys, I like it, Too many questions, no answers, isn't that all too true.

nice mix.  i really like the lead guitar part.  wish the vocals were higher - i never quite understand why someone would go to all the trouble of writing a song with quite deep thoughtful words, and then record it in such a way that they are hard to hear.

i really like the feel of this track.  its very simple and cleverly put together - i love the consistency of the drum beat.  keep it up.

Thx for the replies,

Soon our remake of this song is ready, and it will be played on te local radio here . I will send it here as soon as it is ready. It's quite different from the original though.

To randomdave: Yes there is much effect on the voice in that song, so it's not very easy to hear, you're right. In the remake it will hopefully be easier to hear. My mic is not the best there is, so it will always be a bit strange, until we have the opportunity to record the song in a real studio

I love the music. It flows straight to the heart. The recording quality in the vocals could be better. Less verb on the entire performance should make it easier to listen. Create a new ending, it sounds cheap.

thanks, triton .

About the ending, if you read what I said above: "it has no intro and outro, and some things must change". So that's why it isn't finished..

The Remake of this song is also online, that one is finished.

Just had to say "Yet another beautiful creation of yours"

I must agree that the vocal track could come more into the foreground of the song.

On a poetical point:
(This is meant only if you want your song to be heard by the many)
I don't believe that your average listener 'on the street' could deal with such important issues when you give it to them in such a 'real' 'confrontational' way.

Put another way; As music is the mystical medium, such 'in your face' questions seem 'out of place' on its level.

To cite an example; Annie Lennox in her song 'Why' put all the emphasis on the Why making it a universal Why for all our why's, she could have sung anything in the verses, the chorus said it all.

This is of course my own personal opinion and.......No...No..RazoR...put the gun away!!!!!
